Rajinikanth's "RANA"


Lately Indian Film Industry has gone through some major changes and one of them is big budget movies.Now producers are going for big budget movies hence providing enough room for creative possibilities.Recently the introduction of 3d camera systems to Indian cinema has taken film-making to another level altogether.Films Like Aladdin,Robot,Haunted 3d,Magadheera are a few examples to show the height of creativity Indian cinema can achieve.The main problem from a long time was producers were not ready taking risk for big budget movies,but now time has changed and they are ready to invest money on big projects.One of such upcoming film is Rajinikanth's "RANA".After the grand success of Endhiran(ROBOT) Rajinikanth is preparing himself for another big budget flick.

"RANA" will be jointly produced by Eros International and Chennai based Ocher Studios.Rajinikanth's younger daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth is the founder and C.E.O of Ocher Studios.She is a film graphic designer, producer and director in Chennai, India who has contributed in several Tamil films.Rajinikanth will be seen playing Triple role in "RANA" and the story is also written by him.The film was scheduled to go on floor in March this year,but has been delayed by a month, because of the superstar’s sudden illness.Rajinikanth is recovering fast and Soundarya(Rajini's daughter) confirmed that film will now go on floor in August this year.

Music for "RANA" will be scored by none other than Oscar Award winner A.R.Rahman.The technical aspects and special effects will be directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth.Charles Darby renowned visual effects expert will be the visual effects supervisor of the film.Charles is a Emmy award winner for Visual effects.Rajinikanth's recent release "ROBOT" was a huge success and grossed above 400 crores worldwide so expectations are really high from "RANA".
"We hope to make a film that will live up to the huge expectations of Rajini fans",Soundarya Rajinikanth said.
Superstar Rajinikanth learned sword skills in Kerala for the film.RANA is a period film based in the 17th century.The budget will be 100 crore plus for "RANA" and will be much bigger in scale than Rajinikanth's "ROBOT".
