The first time I saw Cars which released on 4th august 2006 I was absolutely stunned.Pixar introduced a whole new level of animation. Before Cars released no one have ever imagined of such a world where cars live and move like humans, but they did it and they did it quite well. They created a world where cars live like we do,they talk, they have feelings, they have a lifestyle like us.One more reason why I like Pixar movies is their storytelling. The way they present the concept is amazing.

Animating

Being an animator myself I can say how much work goes behind the scene to create such a magic like Cars. From the preproduction level to the final production of the movie it's pure creativity and patience. From the initial sketches to the modeling of the 3d characters and backgrounds, rigging or creating the skeleton to animate the characters and objects, texturing or in other words adding details to the 3d world, lighting or illuminating the 3d scenes to achieve some aesthetic or practical effect and rendering the final output and then finaly compose them together.Animation is a long process which takes a lot of time and highly creative talent.
